IT'S about 'WORKING WITH PURPOSE' — a CHANGE THE GAME immersive employability experience for young people / young adults aged 16-24 years, offering PAID employment. It unpacks skills, fosters talents & interests, fuels passions, creating a ‘PURPOSE-DRIVEN’ positive & inspiring work environment.

The experience provides dynamic progression opportunities with the wider work of the charity, the associated Stoke on Trent Youth Collective

The experience also provides a NEXT GEN LEGACY where young people / young adults become game changers, & gain an understanding of making a difference in their generation, recognising peer impact & understanding their personal significance in the world they live & work in.

DYF is currently self-funded & we raise the funds to pay young people through grants & awards, giving them the TWO things that every person needs in life for fulfilment - being OPPORTUNITY & PURPOSE.

OURBACKSTORY

DYF originated from the employability work we delivered for ten years in the Potteries Centre, Hanley, as part of a social enterprise initiative offering employment & training.

It then developed into an original piece of work we did with NEET young people as part of the Stoke on Trent YES consortium working with SOTCC - we modelled a creative employability initiative working hand in hand with the DWP & saw 32 out of 36 young people on the program progress onto employment, education & training with fantastic outcomes.

OPPORTUNITIES

We are continually offering these shorter & longer-term opportunities within RUFF & RUBY for young people / young adults. – also linking with local employers for progression opportunities.
